DoW-II Install from CD??

Hey Guys,

I'm just on installing DoW-II to my PC and I have decided to activate it through steam, my only problem is that the game is downloading from the steam server (at an alarmingly slow rate) and not from my retail CD. Is this normal or have I done something wrong as its gonna kill me if i have to wait for the game to download......

did you just enter the cd key into steam or did you start installing from the disk first?

entered it in to the steam activate a game area

thats the problem should have just activated it from the disk

run the set up from the disk

yes, running the installer installs the files from the disc and activates the game through steam

Oh well.... I didn't install it normally as i thought it would be like fallout 3 and not work in steam.... bah!
