Ok, for those who are interested it was taken with my canon 350d and 10-22mm EFS (never leaves my camera, ever!) Pretty sure there was a CP on it too.

CP? What's a CP? /blonde moment

350D eh? Thinking of getting one of them. Have you got a bag for that? Not sure what bag to get or how big a bag needs to be to take a 350D and probably 2 or 3 lenses.

CP = Circular Polariser

I've got the Tamrac expedition 4 bag. Its a pretty decent size, with room for a couple of large lenses and then a couple of small ones together with all your other bits and pieces. It's pretty sturdy too. Kept my camera safe and sound whilst snowboarding!

Certainly liking the first shot, technically I doubt that there's any change required. What I would say is if you have the opportunity try and get the same shot without the dingy in the foreground. While it adds some colour and contrast to the current shot I think that without it you would have a stunning shot highlighting the calm and tranquility of the harbour.

Like this?

There's a bit of photoshop going on, mainly in blending a couple of exposures. I didnt do anything to make the sail extra bright, that's just the way it was!

I quited like the blown out sky in the 3rd, but i got some grads now so in the future i'll be able to have it both ways from now on!

Wow! I think this is by far the longest a thread of mine has ever been about! Usually they disapear within a few hours :)

Thank you everyone for your comments!
