Down-date Football Manager 2006

How do you go about resorting back to an older version of the game...

i installed it, then updated it to 6.0.3 or something, but i want 6.0.2 but when i resintall the game it always says that i have the newest patch..? any ideas

Are you removing all the folders after you uninstall it? (excluding the save file obviously)

yes... everything... everything file that is connected with fm2006

still always says i have the latest version

You have to get an old 6.0.2 EXE.

Must just be a registry fault then, saying it's the latest version even though it's not. Try scouring regedit for any keys that might be related to it?

I think you need to search the registry for any Football Manager entries and then reinstall the game from CD before downloading the 6.0.2 patch from somewhere like here. You could also use CCleaner to clean the registry for you if you don't feel confident doing that manually.

Searching the registry for 6.0.3 finds this:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sports Interactive Ltd\Installs\Football Manager 2006

Which has the version number in it.

Why do you need to "downdate" is there something amiss with the new patch?
