I've had this set-up for a while now, since it was one of the fastest PC's on the market
XP2500-M
NF7-S v2.0
SP-97
92mm fan
Arctic Silver 5
Antec Sonata Case with 1x120mm fan blowing out and 1x120mm fan sucking in.
Enermax Noisetaker 600w PSU
9800pro with Arctic Cooler fitted.
Always run it @ 2.5ghz+ and temps were around 40C under full load. Though in this heat it would have hit 50C I reckon.
Now I'm @ 2.1ghz and it's currently at 57C doing nothing!!
Nothing has changed, there's no massive amounts of dust or anything, what's going on? Reckon my motherboard is lying? Also I've just taken the sides of the case and temps didn't budge at all.
I could understand the temp rise in this heat but not when I've knocked the clock speed down so much, this mobile chip has always been a very cool runner.
