Hello, i have been building high end (not extreme) gaming systems for last 20 years but whilst i'm quite experienced it don't mean i know everything, picking out high end components is a lot easier than picking out budget components for me, so i have a good idea of what i want and where im trying to go with my new build but i have come unstuck choosing a PSU, normally my advice is buy the best you can afford, last time around i did just that and got the Corsair AX 860
However this time around im not sure what to get, my power requirements are going to be below 450 watts, it has to be modular or semi modular, and gold rated
Going to be running the following
Sniper G1 M5 motherboard
4770K plus overclocling (not extreme)
GPU 750ti (maybe)
2x ssd
2xhdd
D5 water cooling loop
up to 6 case/rad fans 120/140mm
some hue case lighting too
fan controller
Wont be doing SLi ever tho may well upgrade to 860 when they come out
looking for a power friendly build, but is the build worthy of a 450W Corsair RM Series 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply (£70) as opposed to a Corsair CS450M CS Modular 80 Plus GOLD-RATE 450W (£45)
Is the RM worth the extra £25 and if so why? as if im honest i have no idea why i bought the AX 860 over cheaper alternatives, other than the good reviews
