I’m needing to down size my tower from a Corsair Graphite Series 780T is it’s just a bit to big and I need all the desk space I can get.

I really liked the Corsair Crystal Series 280x unfortunately I’ve been told my current mother board won’t fit which is a Gigabyte Z97X-SLI-CF

So can you recommend me the smallest tower I can get to fit my mother board in??

Im planning on keeping the rest of my internals just need a more compact case/tower

Thanks in advance

Your motherboard is 30mm shorter in widrh Than the standard atx size of 244mm which makes things difficult. I had this once before with an asrock motherboard being non standard and the holes will not match up on the right edge.

You can still change cases but the right edge holes wont be fixed to anything so connecting anything on that edge you need to be careful.

The only other option i know of is to drill some holes and use motherboard standoffs to match.

Looked into this when downsizing ~1 year ago. At the time the smallest cases that could fit an ATX board were the Corsair 220T and the Fractal Meshify C. The Phanteks P400A is also worth considering if you need a bit more room for a longer GPU.

Well after much looking and searching I pulled the plug on another Corsair

The Corsair Carbide 275R ATX case

ticked all the boxes not as small as I’d hoped but even in its delivery box it’s smaller and fits the space better than the old case so hopefully the swap over is easy and I claim my desk back
