The Dell will have faster pixel response times and no IPS glow. Viewing angles are good enough sitting in front of the display, and to be fair I am impressed how good it looks off angle too, even from above.

The Acer will have better viewing angles, IPS glow and more potential for obvious backlight bleed.
Costs almost twice as much, too!

For £400 I'd go with the Acer, the colours will be brighter as an IPS panel. You don't list your PC specs, but I presume you have an Nvidia card, so you get the advantage of the GSync module. GSync works with some freesync monitors, but there are some compatibility issues having read around.

Not come across any compatibility issues using the Dell with a 1080 ti. Lot of folks using the Dell with 10 series cards.

I prefer the Dell to i.p.s for gaming its fast and looks good in games. I don't miss my I.P.S panel

If I was doing any image editing, photography etc. compromise on I.P.S if not don't see the point, more expensive, issues with bleed and glow.

Personally the open nature of adaptive sync rather than the locked in nature of g sync is a huge plus in my book.

£400 is cheap for the Acer.

I would not swap my Dell for one.
