Downdraught cooler for AM4

I'm planning a new build and I'm eager to try out one of the new AMD 3330X processors.

Case will be a budget oriented Micro ATX and as I don't game at the higher end, a 75watt graphics card will do just fine.

I do like to keep machines very quiet and I've had great results in the past from the Scythe Kama Cross series of downdraught coolers.

I have always preferred downdraught cooling, it seems so natural to blow air down over the motherboard before it is exhausted rather than blow air sideways out of a cooler and keep the rest of the component cool by jamming loads of fans into the front and reverse of the case.

Just a preference of course, but if anyone can recommend something big and very quiet it would be appreciated.

TIA

B.

Solid HSF and it meets your requirements.

Seen this cooler with a slim 120 noctua NF-A12x15 under it I believe. Better thermals/noise

OP when you say big, what case do you have in mind? Coolers like the Black Ridge are always going to be compromised in ability due to their low profile nature. Nothing beats a bit of thermal mass and surface area :)

I actually saw one where the owner had managed to mount a 140mm fan on the top and had pretty great results.
