Downgrading my size of monitor help

Hi guys, At the moment I have a 27.5" 1920x1200 screen and the main reason for getting a big screen was so that the text wasn't too small, because I had a 20.1" for a few months and that totally screwed up my eyes.

So I was thinking how much smaller would the text size be on a 24" 1920x1080 then on my 27.5" that I have now. Would it be too small?

Why do you want to move to a smaller monitor and what specifically should it offer that your current one doesn't?

I can't imagine anyone with average vision would struggle to read 1080p on a 24" monitor so unless your eyesight's very poor I wouldn't worry?
