On a whim I decided to install the SEUS software and upgrade the firmware on my k800i. No idea why as it was working perfectly but I thought I might as well be using the latest and greatest. Couldn't tell you what version I had before I did this, but the software is now version 'CXC1250210 R1JG001 070214'.

Can't see any improvements, but the joystick control now doesn't work when I want to bring the phone out of sleep mode. Which might seem like a minor annoyance but when you're used to it, not having that option is already bugging me. The most annoying aspect is that when I get a text message, I can't just press the joystick to wake the phone up and open the message - I now have to mess around by pressing the numberpad, delete the digit I've pressed, then manually go to the inbox and read the message.

Is there anyway to remove the upgraded firmware and get my phone back to how it was?

maybe it didn't install properly, try running it again, see if it will let you re-install it.

you can't downgrade using the SEUS software, and even if you could, it's not advisable,as it can actually cause damage to the phone!

contact sonyericsson if there was a prob with their soft! but if you still can't get it done, i can flash it properly for you, (see my contact details on my trust)

Lad.
