I gave up the PC upgrade bug the day I bought my 360, the only reason I now have a PC is for work and surfing the net.

Im trying to make my PC silent now, iv replaced all the raptor drives I had with 1 big samsung drive and that has helped no end. The last piece of the puzzle is getting rid of my aging 6800GT, its not so much the noise, it has a Zalman fan fitted, its more that Vista 64bit just doesnt seem to get on it with it all that well.

I was looking at a cheap replacment, all it needs to be able to do is my web and photoshop work (nice PQ needed) , run vista's aero nicely, and be silent.

I was looking at this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-030-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=939

do you think it will run vista OK?

also, is there any point putting the 6800GT on fleebay or is it now scrap its that old.

well, considering that a 8500gt, which is pretty much the same as a 2400pro/xt (can't remember) beats the 6800ultra it's not really a downgrade. being that price though it is good, and supports dx10 as well. it should have no problems running aero and everything else you mentioned.
