* Who's already booked, and who's planning to?
* Been before or first time? If so how many times?
* What's your primary music taste/genres
* Who are you most looking forward to seeing of the few that have been announced so far?
* What band/s do you most want to play?

I went in '06 and '07, I'll be buying my ticket within the next week and i'm seriously looking forward In Flames, Rise Against and Disturbed. Also quite partial to Alter Bridge and Offspring. Will also go and see Kiss for kicks!

As always, hoping Rammstein will be announced to play, but they won't as they rarely due festivals due to the amount of pyro and stuff they use in their act.

Also hoping for Killswitch, 36 Crazyfists (both played last year so not too likely) and ill Nino!

Smaller band but recent personal favourite, hoping Fair to Midland will play (they played '06 but I hadn't heard of them back then so didn't go)

* If more good bands are announced then I will book.
* Went '05 and '06. '06 was a let down so I didn't go '07 kinda regret it though seen as I missed Necro.
* I don't really have a primary taste in genre.
* Incubus/Offspring/CoB not fussed about the others.
* Slipknot! They were awesome at '05. *Flame jacket on*

1) Not going, pretty poor yeara gain.
2) Nah ain't been, last year was better than this year though lineup wise.
3) Death/Black Metal, but I listen to loads of other types of metal.
4) Well I'd like to see In Flames and Children of Bodom, BUT only if Bodom play stuff PRE-Hate Crew Deathroll because they started sucking...hard.
5) I'd love to see Rammstein at Download, best live shows ever, fact.

I'm not trying to be funny here. Or flippant. But I honestly do think that this is shaping up to be one of the worst festivals I've ever seen, this year. Which is a shame. Hopefully the lineup will get better.

The headliners last year were crap in my opinion as i'm not a maiden fan, and last year started off with farrrr worse bands in the couple of weeks than this year has so far, but turned out alright, so i'm holding out hope yet!

Im tempted as theres a few bands i really like but i dont know whether or not to go, last year was the first download ive missed, even had the offer of a free ticket but didnt bother.

A combination of two things put me off - firstly they seem to increase the capacity year on year and its about time they capped it, i go to leeds or reading every year but ive never felt so much like cattle as i do at download.

Secondly theres a distinct portion of the crowd who seem to go there with the express intention of hurting some poor sod. I'm no festival noob and im all for getting wrecked and having a great time but filling bottles with gravel and belting into the crowd at head height isnt my idea of fun. In that respect it reminds me very much of my first Donnington when back when it was Mosters of Rock and it trying to **** a stranger with whatever you can lay your hands on has become something of a tradition.

Got the offer of a few free tickets again, just have to make a charitable donation to get them but im really not sure Download is worth it :(.

Blasphamy Download 06 was AWESOME you had T00L, Prodigy, IN FLAMES, Metallica, KoRN (True they were minus Jon Davis But were still good), Opeth, Soulfly, Avenged Sevenfold & Strapping young Lad to go and enjoy and you thought it was ****?!?!?! You sir don't deserve to go to download ever again!!!!

Not fussed about Opeth or AS.
Soulfly, Korn and Metallica were awesome.
SYL were good, granted I didn't really like them until seeing them live.
I couldn't get into Prodigy as it was far too packed.
Missed TOOL an only caught the end of it, reason will follow in a sec.
Missed In Flames too. :(

What annoyed me was the increase in people they had there and the one way system. The one way system screwed everything up for me.
I also missed a lot of bands due to sun stroke which really annoyed me.

Ahh you missed T00L, Prodigy and In Flames now I understand why you didn't have a good time you poor bloke :(

My only hope is that The Offspring play a few UK gigs on the back of being over here.

Were utterly stunning when I saw them at the Manchester Apollo a couple of years back.

Can't see anything remotely interesting in the line-up other than Offspring and Incubus. :(
