Hi im trying to save space on my SSD, and wondered if it is necessary to have GB"s of stuff in my download folder once , once its been installed like in program files x 86 or another drive on my system .
In other words can i delete it as its kinda a duplicate , or just move it to a bigger drive for backup , to save me downloading them again ect , should i get corrupted ect ?
thanks cheers .

You can safely delete them, But its up to you if you want to keep them for a backup.

Can you not re-download most of that stuff?

Cheers . oh yeah , I can , but following your post iv moved em to on of my mechanical drives and freed up a few gigabytes , on the c drive which matters the most . everytghing seems to be working still lol . I thought it would be quicker to reinstall them should they get corrupted this way , rather than the extra step of downloading gigabytes of stuff .
I suppose its also there so I dont need to remember everything again should i need .

I thought maybe there might be some sort of connection , and that stuff which was installed might not work .
So it seems once stuff has downloaded , if its an application its then installed into its appropriate destination , leaving basically two copies , the installed and also the download folder uninstalled unpacked ect .
