Download from microsoft.com

I didn't know you could download Vista from Microsoft? Can you post the link?

You used to be able to download Windows 7 of them but they stopped that.

You will find that Microsoft supply *.iso files for there large downloads. I downloaded Visual Basic 2008 Express last year but I couldn't get WinRAR 3.6 to extract anything useful. I had to use Nero ImageDrive and extract the iso into the temp drive to burn it. Nero don't use ImageDrive on Nero 9. I've since found that WinRAR 3.8 will extract the iso without a problem. ;)

I know imgburn or PowerISO will burn the image for you just the same.

I was doing a search for some Windows 7 stuff to see if it was worth getting. On the Microsoft site it supplied the Product Key for user that have Windows 7 and have lost their Product Key.

I got three files called.

Windows_Vista_32bit_UK.exe - 83MB
Boot.wim - 130MB
Install.wim - 2.7 GB

Running the .exe starts extracting files but says setup will start when its finished.

Is there any way to get a bootable DVD from these files?
