Is there such a plugin for firefox that will allow me to queue and set start times for downloads so i can build a queue and tell them to do it overnight when my adsl is unmetered?

Its all legit, so not some torrent download - i'm getting a bunch of free training videos from 3dbuzz :)

Does it have to be within Firefox?

Free Download Manager would do that and it's a brilliant program to have in my opinion.

Well I use Free Download Manager paired with the Flashgot extension for Firefox.

The Flashgot extension sends the download to FDM which has a download window to allow you to edit the download before you start it. The window has a little clock icon in the lower left hand side which, when pressed, loads another window allowing you to schedule the download.

There are some download managers that can be run inside of Firefox, but I think they literally download straight away. If you want a scheduled download, you'll need to look at FDM or the likes.
