I just started to use Gigaget after seeing raving reviews about it in the BioShock thread and other places. Nicely organised and works a treat, very fast speeds.

I'm using Star Downloader, does exactly what ut says on the tin and maxes out my 20Mb cable connection (as long as the server will allow it to!)

I recommend gigaget. Lots of people have started using it ever since i showed them all my blistering speeds i was getting with my bioshock download.

I now use Opera though instead of Firefox and its download manager is quite decent I find.

what features do these offer over the download manager in Opera which I find is OK.

When I was on Dialup I used to use GetRight as it had a very useful resuming feature

This one not working for me with vista 64bit....It just crashes internet Explorer went you try to download something...

I use ReGet Deluxe - http://deluxe.reget.com/en/home.htm I like the way you can schedule downloads and then have it turn off your PC when they're finished

Yeah, I get that as well now. Didn't for the first time but now it does it every time. Also tried it with Firefox but it doesn't seem to set it as default even if you tell it to.

Yeah i use DownthemAll in FF, always get good speeds on downloads, up to and over 500k.

Am trying the Orbit Downloader now....Seems to be working OK so far (vista 64bit)
