Download ME with code?

I decided I want to play through Mass Effect 1 again after seeing my flatmate playing through it earlier. I've already got it in a physical box but I've left it at my house in Wales (I'm back in Uni now in London).

Can I ring up my parents and get them to read the key out to me and download it from Origin/EA account/Website similar? I think I would be able to do it if I downloaded it /w a torrent then instead of cracking I put in my own key but I'd rather get it legit.

I cba to wait for them to post it.

It isn't illegal to get the files for a game from a non official source, the only illegal parts of a torrent is a crack, so you can torrent it and then put your key in and be legit. Some retailers actually use torrents as a way to download.

Will take a bit longer as all the torrents are old. Would have rather downloaded from HTTP but ah well, this will have to do. Bit silly origin don't backdate games though like Blizzard/Steam.

You'd have to ask an EA agent to put ME on your account, since it's X time old so can't automatically be redeemed, at least that was the case with me.

You do need to give the agent your key though.

Have you tried the CD key on Origin? It might work.

The time depends on your download speed and the number of seeds.
I`m actually downloading at the moment @3.5Mb/s. so should take about 40 mins..

I think needs to be ME2 or later for the key to work in Origin. But I have read that people have had success by talking to EA and asking them to add it.

Same with Crysis 1, although Warhead apparently wasn't accepted.
