Download Windows updates, install on different computer?

I was wondering if it would be possible at all to somehow download various Windows updates/hotfixes while I have my broadband here at uni, burn them onto cd and then patch a new build I'll be doing at home? The reason I ask is that I only have dialup 56k at home, meh, and thus updating won't exactly be that practical if there's quite a lot to do.

Would this work if it's even possible? And if not, is there another way?
