I use Chrome as my main browser and have a long running intermittent issue with downloaded .exe files taking a few minutes (literally minutes) to open. It doesn't happen with every file and seems to make no difference saving said file to my OS SSD, games SSD or HDD. Downloading the same file in another browser and it will open instantly as expected. I thought it might be a Windows7 issue at first but it's just happened on my Win10 system too.
It's not a massive issue in truth as it only happens every now and then but it's always bugged me and i'd like to know why it happens.
