Downloading a area of google maps

Hi, are there any programs that will allow me to download an area of google maps ( satellite view ) say about 20 x 20 km or more if possible that will be downloaded into seperate images.

Collapse side panel, hit F11 to go full screen, hit PrtSc, go into an image editing program and paste the image.

I was using the print screen, paste into gimp method but I was wondering if there was something more automated as I want to capture more than what I can fit into 1 screenshot at a time. I didnt know about F11 though so cheers for that. Is there a way to remove the items at the top of the screen when in full screen mode ( the buttons for restaurants, hotels etc ).

Use the Goole Earth app and turn off the options you don't want. Can also save the image without using print screen at up to 8K resolution.
