Downloading Hotmail?

I used to use outlook connecter to download my hotmail emails - now it keeps asking to update to latest software - which I have done - but still asks. Anyone know an easy way to download hotmail?

It is so I can download my emails in one go, reply to them offline, then connect and sends the replies all at once.

I'm also looking for a free dvd playing plugin for windows media player, any ideas - have a v v v slow connection at moment and search keeps timing out!

Windows Live Mail (installed along with Live Messenger) will let you do what you want. It's quite a nice program, been using it for about a year maybe. Just got updated a few weeks ago.

Another vote for Windows Live Mail. I started using it a few months ago and it's been great so far. Easy to backup your mail with it too

Can you use Windows Live mail with hotmail mail if you have hotmail free? (i.e i don't pay for my hotmail)

That's Windows Mail (that comes with Vista), not Windows Live Mail.

OK. How do I stop Windows Live Mail from loading when I click on the email icon in Windows Live Messenger. I want it to load my internet browser and not the email program.
