Downloading new games problem

On behalf of a friend of my:

So recently i have been having problems with downloading games. Once they are complete, something is wrong for them. Usually a 'repair' fixes the problem, but not every game has a repair. I believe that every game i download has corrupted data and i have no idea how or why it is doing this. If the game doesn't have a repair it is nearly impossible for me to play it. Any suggestions on what's causing this problem?

Could be packet loss somewhere in your setup, have you tried running a ping test?

I'd start with pinging your router (I.E. CMD>ping 192.168.0.1 -t) and after 5minutes or so press CTRL+C and see your packet loss.

You could do the same to Google too or go here: www.pingtest.net and see what results you get.

I had a similar problem with some of my downloads, turned out to be a faulty NIC.
 
Sounds like a router problem to me.....anyway you can use another...spare maybe?

Also might be worth running memtest to make sure you don't have any RAM issues.
