Downloading pages document to windows as .doc issue

I've come across a problem today when downloading a document from pages onto a windows PC. The document (created on my mac with pages) and saved to iCloud shows as bold text when downloading in MS word format. I have checked the document on my iPhone and iPad but it appears normal - the text is not bold. I have also downloaded the file as a PDF which shows no problems, the issue only occurs when downloading as a .doc. has anyone else encountered this problem, how can it be resolved?

Saving the document as a word document or as a rich text format with in pages should keep all the rich text formatting. If your saving it as a pages document then renaming it as .doc/.docx it will lose all formatting.
