Downloading Problem

Hi,

Having a bit of a problem downloading files from my PC, this started at the weekend when i was trying to download some mods for a game.
The download box will pop up and after a couple of secounds it will stop downloading, and after a while it times out,i can still surf the net at this time.
This happens even if i try to download the same file from differant sites.

I can still download fine from my laptop ( the same files), with out a problem which makes me think its the PC.

The PC is connected to a router, wired, and the laptop is wireless.

Has any one got any ideas before i reinstall windows as i think this could be the only way to sort it.

Whilst not fixing the root of the problem, have you tried a download manager such as Gigaget http://www.gigaget.com/

Thanks for the link to the program YoungBlood, that seems to do the trick, downloading fine with it, just need to fix the problem of downloading with out it now.
