Downloads being interrupted

Hi,
I have BT business broadband, and when I try to download any large files they will jst stop downloading after a few MBs and i will have to restart the download. The only way i can download properly is by using a download program with resume supported :S.
The internet doesn't actually cut out, the connection is still live, both adsl and internet lights are always solid green, but the data flow just stops.
Any ideas?

Very strange problem I'm positive I had a similar problem a few years back.

Are you using latest version of ie with updates etc.

Have you tried it in a different browser like opera or firefox.

Although if the problem is fixed in that it's a pain if you need a fix for ie.

Does it make a difference if you just click on a link or right click and choose save as.

yes i've got the latest firmware on my BT wireless router

and it is the same for any browser or application
even my PS3's downloads and updates get interrupted
i also get kicked off online games after a while on the ps3 with connection interrupted

Sounds very familar and I notice you have an Asus board. Have you installed something off the CD? For the life of me I cant remember the name but it's what your problem is, im 99% sure.

Very vague I know, but check whats in your Start > Asus menu ...... It's on the tip of my tongue......

No idea about the PS3 issues, but im sure your problem on the PC is due to some Asus software, Just can't remember the name.
