So I've been running 2560x1440 at 120Hz on my 144Hz BenQ for some time now and it's quite nice in games, I upgraded the Nvidia drivers from 340.52 to the newer 344.11 and for some reason it wont let me do 2560x1440 at 120 hz, But 115 Hz works fine.

I tried the older driver again and 120Hz wasn't a problem, So my question is this, What would be the one thing stopping it ? Newer driver branch, Code etc... ? Genuinely interested if anyone knows these types of things :)

I think the latest Nvidia drivers aren't that good. A number of people have reported problems and when I updated to them it seems to have broken my custom resolution settings, causing flickering and black screening.

I'm sticking with 340.52 for now and will probably skip 344.11 completely as it's only really adding support for the 970 & 980 and a couple games that I don't play.
