Hi,
I'm looking to downsize my pc to make it more travel friendly, I'm trying to work out if my current PC components will work with a new case. The Main part I am really concerned about is my CPU cooler.
I currently have this build:

Case: CORSAIR CRYSTAL SERIES 570X
AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
ASUS TUF X570-PLUS GAMING
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3000MHz
512GB INTEL 660p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD
CORSAIR 650W TXm SERIES SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS, GOLD ULTRA QUIET
FrostFlow 240 Series cpu cooler
2x 2.5" sata SSDs
GPU: MSI 1070 gaming x

The case I am looking at is this:

I am open to other case recommendations but aside from the riotoro cr1080 I have not found anything quite as compact.

Thanks! :)

What context is there, that you need it to be portable? A full ATX case with a glass window is still going to be pretty bulky and heavy.

A 3950X with a 1070 isn't what I'd be wanting to do that with.

Yea ideally I need something that I can travel with on the train using a travel case like this:

The GPU would be taken out and boxed in a separate bag before travel to stop it getting damaged or to stop it damaging anything else.
it doesn't need to be portable day to day, but I would like a case/setup that would allow me to move and travel every 3-6 months with.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

That Jonsbo U4 may look good but I feel sorry for any components put in it. With only a single 120mm rear exhaust and extremely restricted front vents on a single side that is nothing less than a hot box that will cook your components. There are much better cases available for a similar price but if you are serious about going smaller get a smaller motherboard and go for a m-ATX or ITX case.

Every 3 - 6 months is a lot easier, for sure. A lot of the weight comes from the components rather than only the case. Once you go for something compact (usually MATX/ITX) and aluminium then there's only so much lighter it can get.

With the cooler you'd need to check the case can support a radiator of that size, not all fan placements are wide enough to support that, it's usually via the top or rear mounts. I'm not sure, but I can't see how it'd fit in that case.
