Dpd delivery

Hi everyone im new here,
I've read things on here about dpd terrible delivery with ocuk so just wanted to ask a question

Yesterday I received 2 emails, one from overclockers saying my parcel been dispatched and the other saying dpd will deliver tomorrow which Is now today and will give me a 1 hour time slow by 11am

Its now almost 4pm and I haven't received my time slot, what's going on? Can't get in contact with dpd or ocuk

Its covid things get messed up its probably a dpd hold up.

Not sure if they deliver on Saturdays but usually they are excellent round here. Wait until monday evening , if no show then make some enquiries

When did you get your despatch e-mail? If after 7PM it will have missed the collection so DPD will be aware but the parcel will still be sat in the warehouse at OcUK. The e-mail does state this.

DPD just jump the gun and it's upsetting!

I wasnt expecting my delivery from OCuk that got despatched on Friday until Monday, got a notification and delivery from DPD on the Saturday, I asked the driver about it and he said because of covid and people being off, they are working 7 days a week, just getting as much out as they can, which is a lot more then I can say for FedEx who just seem to be spinning my parcel around in circles at the Kidderminster depot, they tell me its because of Covid and the place being closed, but every other day the package gets a scan by someone, go figure.

Had a couple DPD orders that I ended up receiving on the Saturday because of exactly that. They've been excellent.

My email from dpd saying it would be delivered today came yesterday at around 8pm, so that means its sat at the ocuk warehouse?
Although I did read that in the email just now so if dpd haven't picked it up as it was after 7pm and they know they wouldn't of picked it up until today then why would they say they'd deliver it today?

They haven't even said they've received the parcel yet if they were picking it up today instead so I'm confused

Yeah I'm not entirely sure why DPD are messing up quite so much, it got me the other day that's the only way I know!

Honestly, can't fault DPD. The only time I've had an issue with an OCUK order, it was because they had to much to go on the van.

If you're worried, post in the customer services forum.

Similar experience with DPD, system message saying next day delivery. Tracked online, sender created the order but item wasn't with DPD yet. Delivery next day (Sunday). They're delivering 7 days. Not their fault, considering all that is going on, still a great service.
Hope you don't use UPS/DHL... at least here they make Hermes/Yodel look like a premium delivery service.

Just received an email from dpd at 10:15pm saying they've not received my parcel after almost a day late from the told delivery day lol.

Oh well says it'll be delivered Monday and should have my delivery slot before 11am but might be in luck and still gets delivered tomorrow

Anyone have any issues receiving parcels to ireland? My order is secure but OCUK are waiting on DPD to start delivering here again

It's not coming today, DPD is unreliable it should come next week.

I've always found DPD to be faultless. Never had any issues with them at all over many years.

DPD have been really good with things I've ordered over the past few weeks, albeit I'v ordered from another website DPD have been on time all the time. I have ordered something from overclockers this weekend so I will see if it's any different.

I've confirmed this with Stig, OCUK has the package ready for shipping hence they updated and assigned a tracking number. Its then upto dpd to come and collect it on time, i had the same email but dpd was delayed in collecting it so its been assigned for Monday delivery instead now. It wasn't actually collected till the next day from ocuk, they've always been faultless for me even when it comes down to sending parcels to europe etc, literally gets there within the specified time slot.

Can't fault them at all.

If ever I get the option, I always choose DPD. Over the years they have been spot on, for me at least, but to be fair I've not had many issues with any parcel delivery company apart from UK Mail a couple of years back.
I find DPD very reliable, but I do understand this is not the case everywhere.

They do tend to give out 'expected' delivery times, which are just estimates and may be revised once they actually get the parcel, whereupon they can then give you a proper 1hr delivery slot.
My stuff going to and from NI has been taking a day or two longer, but still running bang-on all the times that DPD have specified.

Generally I ignore whatever the sender says and just rely on what DPD say will be the delivery times, with the caveat that it only applies if the parcel is actually in their system.
