So dpd driver flat out lied to me today.
He said I couldn't reject the parcel due to it being delivered with another (completely separate) parcel.

I have doorbell video evidence of this. And will have to pay to return item now.

How can I pass this complaint up higher?

I'll probably just pay the return cost (10 pounds) I'm annoyed that they didn't (I got through on phone) just accept it back tomorrow.

The person on phone told me the courier misinformed me.

Not worth chasing. Can see it going round and round.
For all the issues I've had with couriers. Dpd take the crown as a ratio.

I've had issues with RM, Evri, and Dpd but the volume I send with RM and evri it's to be expected. But this is first time I'm out of pocket.

I'll punish dpd by not using them when I can.
That'll learn em!

I simply didn't want it. If I had accepted it and looked at it, changed my mind. I'd fully expect to pay return.

But I rang the retailer and asked if I could reject and they said yes. I believe its standard for couriers to return to sender for free?

So it's absolutely not the retailers fault. Its also not my fault. Unfortunately because the retailer has the contract with dpd I can't probably do anything. It's up to the retailer to chase dpd. But nothing in it for them.

Witchcraft?

Family trait or did you learn it from a book

I called the number and withheld mine. As if I call they know my number is linked and it just spams this generic response linked to my parcels in my account

Realistically, your only avenue for getting return postage is to ask the retailer nicely. I wouldn't even waste your time trying to get DPD to reimburse you.

No I tried chat and call. Same response. One is those annoying situations where the guilty party is going to get away with it most likely.

Should have recorded the call where they said the delivery driver was wrong.

So the retailer has refused to pay for return postage?

Haven't tried yet. Will send an email later. But it's in thier Ts&cs that pay for return postage normally.

Probably not worth the faff beyond one email.

I'll get some worthless satisfaction avoiding using dpd in the future

More fun.
Yodel have now failed to deliver. Says delivered, but no trace on any camera or calling card.

I've not had issues with couriers in years (apart from DPD)

But since December RM, Evri, DPD and now yodel all had issues.

Raised the yodel. Issue both with yodel and company I bought from.

I'd like to see the picture of this delivery. Because it won't be my door.
