DPD misread delivery instructions

Had a parcel which should arrived today. My instructions if out is to leave behind the wheelie bin by my front door (there is a crevice which can't be seen very well from the outside). Plus to avoid the people at a property a few doors down.

Guess what? The courier left the parcel with the b***h at the property above. She is a nasty piece of work and has complained about me to the police when I have done nothing wrong. She shouts at me with lies at work and follows me. The store manager will ban her if he sees her repeating this.

I am scared to go to her home. Doubt she will come to mine with parcel.

I understand that this is the busiest weeks for couriers but on the DPD the instructions and avoids are in different boxes.

I have messaged the company who I bought from

@cheesefest If you get on better with a different neighbour, preferably who is themselves less hated by the parcel recipient, ask that neighbour to go round with the delivery card. Might improve the chance of them handing it over, and less chance of it escalating.
I don’t know much of other neighbours.

She took in another parcel for another person yesterday who lives 3 doors from me. She lives 6 doors. As I was outside when my parents dropped off something for me about 1.5 hours ago, I saw him walking from hers. He said she denies any parcel. So if he had no joy, I certainly won’t!

There should be a list for all couriers to share - of addresses that should not take in parcels. Then the problem is if the person/family moves - the new occupants maybe more understanding and willing to take parcels in.

Why hasn't anyone else asked what she complained to the police about?
Ok she has reported me to the police as someone has sent her vile letters about her fly tipping. The police showed me two letters and mentions things that aren’t applicable to me. One mentions I can see the fly tipping from my bedroom window. I can’t as it’s on the other side of the block. Another says my cousin. Not spoken to three of them in 20 years (and never will again as my aunt died a few years ago without informing my mum) and the other cousin in 6 years.

If she didn’t fly tip, she wouldn’t get these letters. She drives and the tip is only a mile down the road

That woman sounds like the b***h who has my parcel. She and her oh fly tip stuff when they have a car and tip is only a mile away. She has been warned many times by the housing association and the council about her fly tipping and her **** attitude. She needs to be evicted as residents living on the row of houses overlooking the fly tipped area are pretty annoyed with her and her attitude. She’s even stupid enough not to remove her details from a courier box!

Didn’t go round as mentioned in an earlier post today as I was at my parents car getting something from them - that a man who lives between me and her, had his parcel delivered to her yesterday with a different courier- think it was Evri. He went to her door and she denied about any parcels. Yet he showed me the delivery proof photo and could see her tattooed leg and wearing the same dressing gown.

Update. Plucked up my courage and went to the b***h's address and rang on her doorbell. As she's the first floor flat - she opened a window and screamed at me to FO. I just said "you have a parcel for me and I have complained to DPD". She closed the window as soon as she told me to FO. The flats have several communal entrances which are shared between 2 flats - ground and first. Didn't want to film her with her history of ringing the police about me over nothing.. That b***h and her awful kids need evicting.

Just over a year ago, we had strong winds (like yesterday) and it blew the wheelie bins about. Her wheelie bin blew over and blocked the entry/exit to the parking area. I picked it up. Less than a week later, she screamed "don't you ever touch my bin again". Well I didn't want to damage my car or her bin as I would had to pay for that....

The company I bought from has raised this as a formal complaint against DPD. It can take 6 working days and therefore due to Xmas/NY the 6th working day - which includes today is 5th Jan.

Not in a rush for parcel as its an order of protein shake powders and something else. Got plenty at home - took advantage of the discount on website.

Sounds like a charming person - well done for clearing the hurdle of reluctance. :) The important thing is that you have made an attempt to retrieve the parcel so could get the ball rolling on a replacement.

Keeping everyone's parcels is clearly theft - the supplier probably won't do anything about it but personally I'd be getting evidence together with others and reporting via 101 so she gets a taste of her own medicine.

I'm surprised DPD didn't read the instructions - they've always been excellent for me and followed my requests when I wouldn't be in. Maybe agency staff given the time of year. Good luck!
For some unknown reason the DPD website won’t send out a password reset request. Other websites- you get that in seconds. It said don’t deliver to any neighbour esp X and Y. B***h lives at X - 6 doors away.

Wish she and her family would sod off.

At least she’s better than another b***h who I heard say she’s proud of her kids. Eldest son convicted of raping a woman in her 80s and stealing money and jewellery. He’s been given a 13 year sentence. Then twin daughters made my colleagues’ children hell at school. How can you be proud of your kids when they do this ?

Crazy, I have the polar opposite.
Our local drivers always wait for us to answer the door, they are either 15-30 mins early, bang on time or half way through the 2 hour window or at worst before the slot runs out, it's literally only ever been ONCE they've turned up half hour late due to an accident's traffic jams IIRC.
They even turned around half hour later after dropping off something that turned out to be DOA and picked it back up again for a same day RMA return, and the day after delivered the replacement!
I've ordered from different companies to arrive on the same day and they'll either 9/10 all come with the same delivery driver or at worst be hours apart.

FedEx however, have damaged stuff twice for me and not even waited for the door to be answered and ran off and drove off, twice in a row even when the first delivery was complained to arrive damaged/not signed for etc etc...

Then there's the obvious Yodel scumbags that leave anything on the doorstep and run off. even if your milimetres from the door to answer it, even if you go outside and say "can you please wait next time it could be valuable..." But I expect that from a trash company like that, that just hires random people from agencies with zero background checks...

The one that's surprised me the most this year is EVRI - usually HATE them, but they've been stella at timescales/collections and have even managed to deliver a monitor to someone 4 times due to them not being home, without breaking it... I took a gamble but I won haha!

RM however, shocking... But no surprises.

Do you live in a hectic big city/area?
I live in the outskirts of Leicester

My regular RM postie is very good. Even handed my parcels to me whilst at work as his regular round starts at the shops where my work is. Then at the end of the round, it’s my street or the next road.

Posties have been bad back in the 80s. One postie ripped opened post and took money, gift vouchers and other things then dumped the rest in a ditch outside the village. Which was found by a dog.
