i have a c4 2.0hdi and although i have no problems yet with the DPF (touch wood) someday i probably will.

has anyone had there's removed ?
i am a little worried come MOT time.

Removed the DPF from our 406 2.2HDi. Because of the build date it's only emissions tested under Euro III, so gets away without a DPF :)

As long as you drive it hard once a week or at least once a fortnight (if you're doing regular town/short journeys) it will be fine. Just do 20 odd miles up and down a dual carriageway/motorway at highish revs, or if your car has a DPF regen program, let that complete

I've had the DPF completely removed from my 2007 A4. It has a stainless pipe fitted.

Its due an MOT in March so we'll have to see if it passes. Also had EGR and EGR cooler removed although that isn't an issue for MOT AFAIK.

If you do remove it I think all cars need mapping to suit. Mine did and they need to be mapped to ignore the DPF altogether. Some just have the DPF warning light turned off but the car is constantly in re-gen mode.

hey just wondering how did the car fair on it's MOT? also how much did the removal/remap cost?

looking to get myself an A4 soon (been looking for about a year now haha) and curious about removing it :) does it have a Cat too and if so was that also removed?
