I eventually upgraded my GPU from a GTX1080 to a

ASUSTEK - VIDEO CARDS DUAL NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 TI V2 MINI OC EDITION 8GB G, 90YV0FT2-M0NA00

It has 3 Dports 1.4a and one hdmi 2.0

My monitor, a BENQ Zowie 2411 has vga and dvi only. Now the dvi was fine on the GTX1080 and ran at 144Hz. But I messed up and forgot to check, and card doesnt have dvi.

Most Dport to DVI only support 60Hz. Can someone advise me on a route from Dport to dvi that can offer 144Hz. I get all confused over this stuff. Thnx

Thanks, I'd kinda guessed that. I do need to upgrade monitors, I was hoping to delay that. But I do despise my monitor. Its never been good, the colour and contrast is all wrong. I note some go to 165Hz now.

I bought the LG27GL83A monitor. I now need to hide this from swmbo...

Next april is when my next bundle pc update is due. I do it every 3yrs and it keeps me gaming on an averagely half decent PC. I'm not good enough to warrant a high spec, plus I have an addiction to red italian motorcycles which keeps my cashflow occupied.

Damn, the difference a half decent monitor brings. You get so used to the one you had, that when you replace it with one that works properly, suddenly your gaming goes up a notch. I can finally see things better. My old BenQ Zowie was really awful. I had no idea it was so bad.

I had the same thrill when I moved up to 1440p/144hz It was like another world and I was mad I hadn't done it before :D
