I have an Intel DQ45CB with a Q9550 @2.83GHz

Would the BSEL mod work to increase the FSB?

Does the motherboard support 400FSB? If so then the BSEL mod will work fine, if it doesn't support it then there is no way to mod a higher default FSB.

Im trying to find info about the support FSB, all I can find is FSB1333

I take it the 400FSB is the base frequency which is then multiplied by the CPU?

Indeed. The Q9550 is an FSB333 part at stock, 8.5x333=2833MHz.

You want the board to support a QPI of 1600.
