Anyone tried it any good? It looks nice and i like vampires but i don't wanna spend money if it is bad!

Also any other adventure/rpg game to try these days?

Presume you tried Vampire: The masquerade?

I enjoyed that, but it did have some bugs apparently. however there is a load of unnofficial patches that sort these.

Poor game with puzzles that don't make any sense. The game won't let you leave the area unless you've done everything correctly. That includes placing little markers on the map which takes an age and if they're not exactly correct it doesn't do the voice overs.

I believe theres another Dracula game coming soon (name escapes me) which sounds a lot better than this.

Leave Origins well alone. It's mediocre at best. Look up Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines and the Soul Reaver series if you want the best vampire games money can buy :)

A Vampyre Story?

Thanks,

Scott C

Really looking forward to this one. Fingers crossed and all that.

SoulReaver I would also agree with (Legacy Of Kain series is one of the best I've played - and dirt cheap now!) Vampire the Masquerade is okay. A bit boring after a while in my opinion.

I played Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, great Vampire game if your into that. Few too many loading screens I found though. I'm quite impatient.

If adventure games are your thing, aswell as Vampire stories then Dracula Origins is for you. Its a classic Vampire story, with non of the modern bull. But it doesn't really go anywhere you havent been before.

I got half-way through, turned it off one night for sleep... and I havent touched it since :p

It was a tad too tedious for me, but I'm like that with all adventure games.

This was one of the things that was picked up in the reviews. Many of the puzzles are lazy. Instead of actually being a logical reason behind them you find yourself walking back and forth taking items to and from places for no other reason than to pad out an otherwise lacking game.

This really isn't on par with older adventure games of the same genre.

ah okay shame, thanks i might try masquerade but i think it's getting a little bit too old for me tho :p
