Drag Race

Pretty much the same, but the MG may just take a tiny lead due to the extra couple HP it may have gained for the performance exhaust system

i would have thought on the mg the so called performance mods would actually lower performance and help the focus to an easy victory.

didn't know making the car breathe better made it slow. excuse me while i shove a potato in my carb, this will make it faster wont it?

The Focus, for definite. My mate had an MG ZR 105+ and I could see him off at the lights in my mk1 1.8l Mondeo. Given that the Focus is quicker than the Mondeo, I think it's a pretty clear cut case really.

MG ZR 105 - 0-60 = 10.0secs

Mondeo 1.8l - 0-60 = 9.7-10.6 (depending on trim)

And since 0-60 times are particularly relevant in TLGP's, i can't see it being a clear cut case.

I'm not going on paper figures, I'm going on experience. The MG could never keep up.

They were both about Equal, hehe :) MG got a better start presumably from the slight weight advantage, then the Focus started edging ahead towards the mid-end.
