Just a random one, is it me or is da2 a very cpu hungry game in comparison to most, arent many games that can lift my cpu usage over 50%

If it's that CPU-hungry, I'm surprised it runs at all on my laptop (dual-core Turion64 @ 2.0GHz). None of the settings are on low either - but I did turn off AA from the auto-detected settings.
Having said that, after 20 minutes you could fry an egg on it (yes, it's an Acer).

Console ported games tend to be very CPU dependant like DA2, and also Crysis 2:
