hi people

just wanted to know if anyone elses was finding that dao was causing problems for there pc's? after about 1.5 hours play my gtx280 shuts down due to heat anyone else finding this or similar??

first game to make good use of my I5 causing it to run at 64- 70c across all cores:eek:

think i may have to get some water cooling.... i have or did have a good air setup but when playing this game my computer acts like an electric heater lol

if your card is overheating on this game and its at stock speeds then it sounds like a faulty card ;)
i had a problem like that with a card once and it was only happening when playing oblivion, the card i had was pre overclocked out of the box and it ran all my other games fine, i solved the problem by reducing it back to stock speeds

this is what im running dao on btw

Windows 7 Home Premium 64
Intel Core 2 Duo E8600
Nvidia GTX295
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX
Asus P5Q Deluxe
Corsair HX 620W Psu
120gig Maxtor SATA
300gig Maxtor SATA

This game is ridiculous. Looks maybe a bit above average at best, yet does all it can to rape every bit of hardware available to it. Maxing out cpu's at 100% per core is just madness. Hope they get it sorted with a patch.

barley hits 70% on my q660

Really? I've been running my cpu at 4.5 for this game which puts both ours at around 9ghz total (assuming you're at stock). Seems like it's a problem related to some unknown variable somewhere that causes 100% usage. Been searching goggle and seems a lot have this issue. Some reported it was a sound driver that caused it for them. No such luck for me. Games running at well over 60fps but still chooses to run 100% load constantly. Never even a dips to 99%.

ps, Tefal, liking the new sig!
