this is the game that I have been anticipating the MOST by a great margin for the last few years.

It is Bioware's current project which is supposedly the spiritual succesor to Baldur's Gate 2 (despite being acompletely new IP and it is not set in forgotten realms.) It has been in development for about four years already.

It probably won't be released for at least another year, but there is no game that has me salivating more than this. The makers of the best rpgs ever putting so much focus into a game for such a long time. The Dragon Age official forum has been open for a long time now, with frequent responses from the staff at Bioware themselves. They are allowing the forum members to provide many ideas and suggestions for the game.

This will be special

Yeah, I don't think they've got their hype machine up to speed on it yet, it must be a long way off still. Mass effect was amazing, can't wait to see what they do with this - ie. when they're not limited by a D&D universe.

Really looking forward to this too :)

While I was *slightly* let down by the depth of the story in Mass Effect (by anyone else's standard it was excellent, but I expect more from Bioware) I expect something great from this - BG2 is still the pinnicle of true RPG's, and we've yet to see it bettered.

You're right about Mass Effect. I thought the background detail was excellent and a lot of time appeared to have been put in to the game world. But the actual core story was really quite short.

As long as this Dragon Age features a party system like BG2 (none of this solo nonsense) and something resembling the D&D world, I'll be happy.

It looks great except they still are keeping the ability to pause and queue up moves during combat. This just removes some of the immersion for me, still looking forward to it a lot though!
