Going to start a new game on Dragon age. I have only plyd it through the one time and just thought i would get other peoples opinions on the path to take etc..

Last time i went though as a good human fighter, just very basic. Might tap into a mage this time. From what I hear mage is good way to play the game.

Or try a dalish elf rogue for something pretty different. Might go and play this now... but need to sleep have to work tomorrow... DAMN YOU :p

lol, yeah my mate told me he had started a game, I damed him also! Started as a elf mage, going to platy it quite evil i think. Normaly play just how i fancy it at the time but my last game i was a goody 2 shoes.

I am nearly through my first play through as a mage i played it as a evil mage who dabbles in blood magic and its very fun.

I would suggest you goto the mages cricle first. As you can get all the mana potions you ever need.

I played like half of the game with a fighter but got bored
Restarted as a rogue, much more fun, at a high level he was more powerful than a fighter. Rapid attacks doing good damage

So many choices, Think i am going to start again now. Just one more restart. The only bad thing about the game is in the fade i think. I dred going to these parts of the game

The fade was one of my favourite places! I played my only playthrough so far as a mage with a second mage in party as a healer. 2 mages was seriously OP in that game especially once you start to work out powerful spell combinations like setting an oil slick on fire or using forcefield and paralise to make it a big aoe effect.

I have heard though if you do it right a rogue hunter is the single most op character, i aint given this a go yet though

Was just a bit same old same old in the fade. Spoiler **** I had a child with morigan in my last game, was a very starnge way to end the game. not playd awakening yet, does it carry much stuff over from you game? like in me2?

I loved the Fade too, good times there. As far as spell combinations go, my fave was the Storm of the Ages combo - I forget the spell names, but it was the magic+ spell, blizzard and AoE thunder. HUGE area, not good in tight spaces, but the fact that so many mobs slipped over when caught in it, and the extreme amounts of damage it did made it my favourite by a country mile.

I can see how people might think that, but I found it repetitive, and got stuck in some sections (like the dimensional-doors-in-the-tower-bit, go through door A, and come out door B, go in door B come out door C, etc).

Plus, you have to explore every tiny bit to make sure you get all the character attribute bonuses. The Skip The Fade mod keeps the interesting party-member dreams, and the final boss confrontation. If only there was a Skip Ozrammar mod. That level goes on for ages. :(
