Dragon age ?

So im a massive RPG fan and played almost everything there is, Ive known of dragon age for some time and ive never played it. What do you guys think ? Is it worth buying ?

Excellent game. One of the few games where I lost 80+ hours and have no idea where they went! Was hooked from start to end.

Brilliant game even the DLC was worth playing and added something to the story line.

One of the best single player RPG's I've played.

Well worth getting, and the collector's edition with all the DLC is now very cheap.

Its decent, but not a patch on Baldurs Gate 1/2 and its expansions.

However, if you enjoy top-down, party based RPG's its still the best thing since.

Great game. Play through it slowly and take the time to do all the side quests and character development plots and it's hard to beat. Lots of nice mods about too.

Bought it first day of release, just recently bought it again with the expansion and dlc.

It's that good.

As a huge Baldur's Gate fan, this was the next best thing for me. NWN was a massive letdown, so nice to have a proper party to control!
You can pick up the game with all the DLC pretty cheap now, it's a must buy if you were into BG.

is da: o kind of like sw kotor but different setting? i really liked kotor so would like to play da: o if it's similar, though i played nwn2 for a short while and really disliked it so hope it's not like that.

Downloading them now from GOG they looked dated but I'm not to bothered if the game play is better than Dragon Age.

I love RPGs and loved DA:O (just got off an Awakenings sess now

) but I just cannot get on with Balders gate. It is not the graphics, the interface and party mechanics just do not gel with me and 2 hours in the story just has not grabbed me.

Meh - maybe I will go back to it some day......

If you've ever played any other bioware games and enjoyed their unique brand of story telling then yes, it's a brilliant game. The DLC gets slated a lot, as does the expansion, its all good though.
