Anyone excited for this? Reviews are rolling in, saw a 9.5/10 amoungst other high scores

On the face of it, another take on the minecraft formula but with a jrpg in there too

There is a demo up on ps4 right now, game is out next week.

My impressions for the demo are the initial tutorials are maybe way too hand holdy and dialogue heavy to the point i was skippig it as if you have played anything like this before you know what it wants you to do early on

As it starts to open up more it shows its promise

Worth a look

Played the demo last night and really enjoyed it. I love Minecraft and this adds other RPG elements and your helpers to take it that little bit further. Only gripe I have was I felt the controls were a bit clunky, but then again I think they did the best they could with a console.

Definite day one purchase for me though.

I agree controls felt a little odd! Menu on X was the worst! Kept pressing X to jump and the menu would pop up

You can change the controls on the ps4 but that will go across all games then so id just try and get used to it

Game is officially out today. I'm off out to buy a copy at lunch time. Looking forward to going home and getting started on properly rebuilding that city from the demo!

For anyone who hasn't even heard of this, it's definitely worth a go on the demo to see if it is your cup of tea or not. Reviews are all very positive too!

My brother is off to pick up his copy, he's been looking forward to this one for a while.

I know that it's minecraft meets Dragon Quest. But it reminds me of Dark Cloud :D

I played the demo a couple of weeks back for an hour and liked it. Seems to be quite a long demo, I decided to stop playing it to not ruin the experience of the full game.

Have a copy being delivered tonight, looking forward to getting stuck in. I do wonder about its replay value, as it is appears to be story and quest based rather than the open ended world of Minecraft.

It'll be great if this has an ending... sick of unending open world games, I just have not got the time. Love Level 5(if they did it), love Dragon Quest 8 and V. I'll get it at some point if it is a proper high quality game that does the franchise proud and not minecraft proud, as i didn't like minecraft.

I found the demo to be a lot less like Minecraft than is being touted. There is a simple form of crafting which requires you to seek out ingredients but the creation process is automatic, and doesn't involve setting down ingredients in a special way. I also don't think you can build your own structures or start randomly digging tunnels.

The demo definitely has less in common with Minecraft than thought it would, which initially had me feeling a little disappointed as to have the freedom of Minecraft with quests and purposes would be very much so up my street. However, there is an element of charm and polish about the demo which has made me jump on it straight away. Will be very interested to see how deep the story goes.

No one else playing this? Probably a real bad time for release with BF1 and other mainstream titles being released.

The game really opens up after the first couple of hours. It's the perfect bedtime game to unwind with.

Was looking for a little variety from solely playing Breath of the Wild, so picked this up on Vita the other week for ~£12 on PSN (looks like it's back up in price now).
I've watched quite a lot of the PS4 gameplay and am surprised just how well it plays on the Vita. Obviously a graphical downgrade, but on the smaller screen I'm just not noticing it really.
Really like the music in the game. :)
