loved it as a child (still sorta am just a few years on ) plumped and brought everything cost me an arm and a leg

all the movies 18 to my knowledge complete series of dragonball dbz and dbgt

been watching through dragonball atm on the 40th episode when should i watch the movies? at the end of dbz? or part way through or how i dont know if there ment to tie in with the storyline all the db forums i found where deserted so turned to here.
 
Movies have no effect on the story what so ever. Don't worry about them just watch them when you feel like it.
Now, go get yourself some naruto and watch a real anime. :)
I used to love Dragonball Z, but theres so much better stuff. Wander into the Anime Thread and have a look.
 
I was addicted to DBZ when I was like 13 was absolutely awesome! It was abit like the anime equivalent of LOST though - took about 7 episodes for anything relevant to happen. :D

Actually they do.

The movies generally fill in gaps that happen between saga's

For Example...Battle of the 3 Super Saiyan's is the first to feature any Androids & show's the Awakening of 17 & 18 so that one is deffintley to be watched between the end of the Trunks Saga & the beginning of the Android saga.

Ive got mate who bought every episode of DBZ, and i watched every last one of them, something like 290 episodes, correct me if im wrong.
I reckon i could almost talk Japanese after that (they were the origional uncut episodes.)

Worst episode - Goku's and Piccalo's driving test.
Best - The one when Gohan finally hits SSJ2 :D

Villain: Mwuahahahhaha *Emerges from dust*

that's the same as everything else though. all series are like that!

Naruto has 'grown' to be terrible?
The current episodes are know as 'filler' and have no effect on the overall anime either - the manga is the main storyline and they are letting that get a lead before they follow it with the anime again.
So yes the current anime is dire 'i dont watch it' but good stuff is coming. :)

wow sounds like you answered your own question, like i said, the naruto anime has grown to become a terrible anime, much like most manga to anime transitions, episodes last longer than they really should including backflashes every 5 minutes which might go along something like this

A: HEY, do you remember that time when he said this
<cut to this scene in the past>
B: OF COURSE, so that's his secret.

or fights that might be like this:

A:OH YOU'RE GONNA GET IT NOW
<powering up>
A: YEAH ANY MINUTE NOW:
<still powering up>
A:RASENGAAAAAN
<blocked/countered by opponent>
A: omfg how did he know i was coming?!

Filler episodes have no overall effect on the anime? Well pass the crack cos filler episodes definitely bring the whole anime down in general. The current Manga is also decreasing week by week, slowly becoming a decrepid pile of x. Not even any of the recent fights have interested me and i used to be a fan of this series.
 
i love dbz so much :) frieza saga has to be one of the best wtih goku goin ssj and cell saga with gohan ssj2

remember watchin them on cartoon network and toonami, even though they were the edited us versions they were still cool!
