I swear it hasnt been that long since the last series? We'll have had 2 series of Dragons Den by the time the Apprentice returns!

Think Sugar is back at the end of February, the Apprentice is on BBC1 not 2 this series as well.

re. Dragons Den.

I heard that Peter Jones was branching off to do a similar programme on ITV.

edit: Yes, it's called 'Tycoon' and is scheduled for March 2007

Welcome to earth. Me Dazza. This OCUK. No eat cheese before sleep, is bad.
I will take this advice on board like the advice Mickey D gave me...

"Everyone can say what they like, unless I don't like it of course. Then blah blah I fixed jeeps in the reserves.. I don't know a lot about the constitution.."

OcUK is truly home with all of the awesome advice of late.

Still didn't answer what Dragons Den is though.

Ever heard of google? And my reply was to your stupid half-arsed guess at it

Dragons den is a programme on BBC, where entrepreneurs propose their business idea to a panel of multi-millionaires. They give an amount which they would like ivnested into their company for whatever reason, but offer a percentage of ownership to the panel. So if they believed their company was worth £250,000 but only wanted to let 20% go, they would ask for £50,000, or something along those lines..

Each potential investor gives their views on the product/business, and if they like it so much that they want to invest in it, they'll give the person an offer, usually for a higher stake than they want to offer, so 30-40%, or even 50. The entrepreneur then decides whether to accept or decline the offer. Sometimes, an offer isn't made from any of the 5 panel members.

Happy? :p

Right you're probably taking the ****, but it's a programme where wannabe entrepreneurs pitch to five rich businessmen looking to invest. It's very funny half the time when the ideas and pitches are poor, but also there are some very good products and great pitches too
