Drainage Tap ??

I have attemptd to include one of these in my loop but it only seems to trickle out and would take ages (if at all) to drain?

Am I doing something wrong?
I have added a t junction to the lowest tube in my case that goes back to the res/pump. Then on the bottom of this t junction added a ball type tap but when i open it it just slowly trickles out no force etc at all, I do mean trickle out as well

Have I missed something?

yeah. you need somewhere to let air in as well. open wherever you use as a fillport
