http://www.drakensangonline.com/

Havnt worked out if its still in beta or not. Seems worth a look, if only for something to pass a rainy day.
Its server based so no download and its free.

Edit : If anyone know where i can download Drakensang River of Time im all ears.

Its closed beta but it lets you play instantly.

I've been playing for 2 minutes, my only opinion of the game is the graphics are functional and the game is oddly lacking a corner map.

Also it appears to be a single player game, although I might be wrong and this is just a tutorial section of some sort.

Yeh, 2 minutes isnt really enough for a valid opinion.

Ive been at it for a few hours and its actually quite good.
Graphic are great. It an overhead diablo type slash em up, so a no brainer but good mindless fun.
Music and graphic are very well done, has dungeons that have normal/hard versions. Hard version are for much higher lvls.
Has nice sparkly spells and feats, but there seem to only be two classes. Not sure if thats final or not.
Graphic can stutter a bit on full screen mode so i have it windowed and slightly smaller that full size.

Once you pass the single player tutorial and the next map that has one dungeon it opens up a bit more. Seems to be a pvp arena.

I picked up on this last night after seeing it mentioned in another thread and, for a browser based (free) game, it looks great!!! :D

I had 5 minutes on it and was quite impressed tbh - couple of questions though, can you save your progress and is there a guide to how to level up, ues points etc??
I know its only a beta at the moment but would be quite nice to be able to play through it properly!

I know the character build saves automatically but when I logged back in the 2nd time, my guy was back at the beginning of the woods on the first "level"!?!?!

Also, by guide, I mean how to activate skills and what various bars/circles mean on the user interface...

You should start at the spawn place of what ever city/town you are nearest. You are probably asking about those bars at the top of the screen... i have no idea, but i think they augment your attacks, best scour the website to find an answer.

Hey Bushmins i sent you a message via trust please read it when you can. :)

I am stuck on the original Drakensang because some of it i still do not quite understand like how to train spells for the chars but i know how to do combat skills and such.(like you said though the char development is different to many rpg games.)

I got River of Time from American Steam by the way via a friend gifting me it and paying him.

Also if anyone wants the original Drakensang it's being sold for £9.99 on the known uk retailer that rhymes with lame. :p

That online version looks good will try it out sometime when i can.
