Draytek 2750n - New Firmware

Back to the BT kit!

Overnight the Draytek dropped the connection, resynced at 54Mbps and turned interleaving on at a depth of about 1000.

Pretty shocking for a commercial product costing so much money :(

Edit: OR modem immediately synced at 67Mbps.

Seems like I did the right thing when I got one of these to replace the BT kit, did not work so sent it back and got a 7800N not had a problem with the set up since:D:D:D

The BT Modem and 7800N have been a good combo and is used by quite a few guys on here.

Maybe when I'm next at home (at uni at the moment). I feel like one of these days DLM is going to go "Right, sod off, here's 20/10 with loads of interleaving. Goodbye." Straw that breaks the camel's back etc.

I've asked Draytek for a changelog on the new firmware.

They have at least admitted there is a problem, but seem very unwilling to offer anything other than "try this new firmware".

Well that's nice, finally admitting there is a problem, would like to see the changelog if you get it.

Hopefully should have move to Sky by Christmas, just finalising cancelling my BT contract without penalties, then I will sell the 2750n.

Holy thread resurrection etc :)

Good news, BroadbandBuyer agreed to accept the unit back after I sent them the email thread with Draytek showing that it was not fit for purpose. They communicated with Draytek who confirmed the unit was not working properly, and we have got the money back!

Will stick with the OR modem and a RT-56U I think :)

Geforce, when did you buy the Draytek.

I might try this since it is just gathering dust on my desk.

Thanks

Using a RT-N66U with the OR modem, everything very happy. Synced at 70/20 at the moment with no interleaving

Very nice, the performance was so bad on my Draytek, approx 50% hit that the only time its been used is to test new firmware, I purchased it in Feb and they have yet to fix the issues, I believe the 2850 also suffers from the same problems.

Im using the BT modem with a TP-Link ADSL router at the moment but still looking for a one box solution, the Zyxel SBG3300-N looks good :)
