Looking to replace my BT modem with a Vigor 130 having had good experiences with the 120 on the office connections. Has anyone here used it with a FTTC connections or thoughts on using the Vigor 130?

Using a Vigor modem to connect a 'cable' router to an ADSL connection (and solving the PPPoA vs PPPoE issue at the same time) makes complete sense. I can't see what you're expecting to gain by replacing BT's own modem for VDSL.

My BT modem is ECI which currently has issues with G.INP which has now been enabled on my line, resulting in higher latency and reduced speed.

I want to see if the Draytek will resolve this (waiting to hear back from Draytek to see if it supports G.INP/ITU 998.4).

Also a number of my business connections will be moving over to FTTC self-install setups and I will need to supply my own modem/router as I don't want to use the ISP supplied equipment.

I considered them when I saw SEG launch them in the UK but the high price put me off. I've sourced a number of new Huawei VDSL modems off The Bay instead...

Found a site that sells them for not much more than the HG612 on the bay.
