Just got this set up, I have our first ADSL connection working fine (WAN 1) but can't seem to get the second connection (Vigor 120 Modem plugged into WAN 2) working.

I'm confused as to what IP I should be giving the 120 Modem, if I should be disabling DHCP on it etc? The manual isn't really much help - that says you shouldn't really have to change any settings

I've used plenty of the Vigor 120s, but not on a Vigor router.

For most BT (02/BE LLU excluded IIRC), the 120 doesn't need touching.

Set the 2820VN WAN2 to PPPoE, enter the ADSL username and password and it should work.

I've never had to change any IP addresses on them, in fact I set one up a couple of hours ago though not going into a draytek router

Have you got the dial up settings correct for WAN2 and set it to always on not load balance?

If you leave wan2 on dhcp it will get an ip from the 120, it should work that way and then you can look into tweeking setting later on.

Completely defeating the point of having a modem that can operate as a bridge avoiding double-NAT.

Last time I used a 120 I had to manually enable the PPPoE pass through as DrayTek had very stupidly decided to send it out more as a single port router than as an Ethernet modem.

You might need to play with some of the settings in the modem's internet connection menus to enable that.

After you do that it should be a simple case of enabling PPPoE as the connection method in the router and hooking it all up.

Thinking about it more, your probably correct, gonna check how we have ours set up.

As long as the modem connected to wan2 is on a different subnet I beleive it will work fine.
