Hi,

I have been using Drayteks for a while now, never had any problems with Lan to Lan VPN's. However ive a chap that has two sites that use 2x 2600 vpn routers. The VPN link keeps disconecting - Only way to dial site 1 is to bounce the router :(

is their any way of logging the routers of finding out what the problem is, google todya isnt telling me much today!

Any help appriciated.

Welcome to hell :(
I was in the unfortunate position to support over 200 of these devices with exactly the same issues, only resolved by migrating to cisco 8xx series.
Absolutely useless that even reloading them via cli wasn't good enough, someone had to physically yank the power cable.
To say that I think drayteks are overpriced junk would be an understatement.

what firmware version are they using? there was a good few stability fixes in the last few updates, version 2.5.9UK being the latest iirc.

later drayteks are far better, we started off using the 2600g, then 2800 series and now 2820 models, Apart from ciscos (overkill imo) they are the best job for small to med businesses.

Will check the firmware version tomorrow morning, im hoping there is an upgrade.

I have found the 2800 series to be very good, no problems atall.

We have many Drayteks and they work great, the firmware updates help VPN stability

Also worth checking on the dial in side that the timeout is set to 0

I found I had horrendous problems with my original firmware 2800 when I first had it, but now its on the latest firmware, it works sweet as a nut.
