Is anyone else playing Dreadnought? It's a free to play spaceship pvp game. The leveling mechanics work a lot like world of warplanes and the like. You play, earn xp of various types, upgrade your current tier ship to open the next tier.
Games are slower paced but feel very epic. Nothing like unleashing a volly of heavy weapons at your opponent. Personally I loved playing the large slow planes in world of warplanes, so Dreadnought is right up my street. I see people commenting about balancing issues (Always when their team looses!) but balancing is wholly carried out by the team, with different ship types being effective for different situations. Healing ships are a must, they are also very easy to get xp with since you are not always directly in the line of sight of attack.
There have been a few launch problems with servers but the devs (Who 1/3 apparently got laid off just after the launch!) have been very active and are pushing out patches.
I am currently going through all the tier 2 ships but dipped my toes into tier 3 and was surprised by how much the games differ, tier 3 seemed to be an all out smash fest where as tier 2 was more of a sniping game.
Its a great space ship game to dip into if you dont have all day to spend mining rocks.
